I enjoyed my time so much at TPIE, the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition in Ft. Lauderdale. Interiorscapers who attended the short course heard about design principles applied to interiorscapes from me, then the current trend of green walls by Kathy O’Donnell of Botanicus Interior Landscaping.
From indications by professionals and the number of new products at the show, we are on the verge of another plant boom like that in the ‘70s. This one has the foundation to be better, though. Today’s interior plants are being grown by knowledgeable, passionate growers including Farm Life Tropical Foliage and Plants in Design. Their greenhouses and facilities are immaculate. There is no need to “clean” the plants they grow because they are showroom ready!
Take a look at some of the highlights from the TPIE Trade Show.
The paint does not kill them; their new growth will be green. Imagine massing these or using them in combination with other succulent materials. http://www.sjaloombv.com/home.php
