A helpful idea to keep in your design repertoire is to use candlesticks, of any height or material, as the “container” for your arrangements. Less than 1/8th of a fresh floral foam brick is liberally taped to the candlestick’s top then filled with a selection of roses. Note that the most open flowers have greater visual weight, thus providing focal area impact. Seeded and spiral eucalyptus sprigs are a good accent foliage in this design because the parent colors, blue and orange, are opposite on the color wheel. Consider this design for buffet or seated dining settings, or decorating a home mantel or church altar when appropriate.
